Bamboo strips having their tapers machined by this custom built bamboo mill. This machine was originally used in the Redditch bamboo rod industry back in the day. Not many of these machines serviced the decline in demand for bamboo rods and were smashed up for scrap. This one luckily serviced and was customised by a good friend and myself about six years ago to machine the complex tapers used in the modern day bamboo rods.
